Accelerated Learning

Students with a talent in a particular area of study have the opportunity to work at a higher level but we believe it is important that they stay within their social infrastructure and are not isolated from their peers - extension within the classroom is the best option.

Along with extension in the classroom there are many opportunities for those students requiring extension or enrichment challenges and initiatives ranging from receiving coaching in public speaking to joining a team in designing or building a machine for a University of Melbourne Engineering competition. There are approximately 200 extra curricular opportunities offered to each student at Emmanuel every year.

Extra Help

Students who need help in an area of study may take units that allow extra time for consolidation at a less advanced level. Programs such as corrective reading and bridging mathematics cater for students who need extra assistance in these areas. Students are also offered assistance through after school programs.
